Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of our marketing activities. Main activities will include:

  • Brand management and finding creative ways to increase awareness and understanding of our service;
  • Reviewing our web traffic and optimizing our content to make sure visitors quickly get what they can do with our product and start developing on it;
  • Reaching out to relevant tech blogs, engaging in online discussions related to our industry and maintaining our own blog and social media presence;
  • Preparing, launching and measuring marketing campaigns;
  • You will also take part in the early sales effort in identifying, contacting and qualifying prospects;

If you do your job well, we’ll have a positive answer whenever we ask ourselves the following questions: Are more developers coming to us? Do they quickly get a good understanding of what they can do with our API? Does it match what they need? Are more of these people getting API keys and building amazing things with it?

This is a full-time position located in Montreal starting immediately.

Candidate profile

  • This isn't the first time you will be doing this. Experience in a previous startup that went through a go-to market phase (successfully or not) will be highly valued;
  • You have a good grasp of web marketing techniques and you know your way around the best tools to measure and optimize that effort;
  • We don’t expect you to be able to code but we want someone who’ll share the same passion, curiosity and savviness for web technologies;
  • You have a marketing education? Please share how your training and experience make you the best candidate for such a position in a tech startup;
  • You have an engineering education? Please share why you want this marketing position and how you’re more able than anyone else to reach its objectives;
  • You are the kind of person that can work from high-level objectives, you take great pride in satisfied customers and you don’t get discouraged by adversity;
  • Our market is international so you must be fluent in English (written and oral). That being said, a big portion of the conversations in the office are in French. Being bilingual will be a big plus.

Front-end Developer

You like using the recent web technologies to build impressive user experience and extending existing tools to make them infinitely more useful? This job is for you! We’re looking for a Front-end Developer with a passion for elegant and simple UI design and development.

Our product may be an API, that doesn’t mean there’s no exciting front-end work to do! A sleek admin console and great developer tools are very important. We also have some apps that use our own API like a Gmail contextual gadget and a Chrome extension for Gmail and Highrise. Main activities will include:

  • Design, development and maintenance of the front-end portion of our developer admin console;
  • Design, development and maintenance of end-facing integration of our API in other platforms (such as Google Apps and browser extensions);
  • Conduct usability tests;
  • Develop and maintain collection of libraries for our API in different programming languages;
  • Work with the Marketing Manager on improving and implementing an efficient developer on-boarding process;
  • Engage with developers making sure any problems and questions they have about our API are answered and creating a thriving developer community;

This is a full-time position located in Montreal starting immediately.

Candidate profile

  • Thorough knowledge of JavaScript in general (and jQuery in particular), HTML and CSS;
  • Ability to design, implement, test and refine elegant and intuitive UX;
  • Not too shabby at designing things that look good and sexy;
  • You’re quick at finding and fixing bugs;
  • Strong commitment to quality and thorough testing of your code;
  • You have a B.Eng. (software, computer or electrical) or degree in computer science
  • You've been a full-time developer for a couple of years by now, even better if some of these were in a startup;
  • You much prefer working on building and iterating on a kick-ass product rather than shipping projects after projects hoping someone else will maintain that code;
  • Bonus points if you can easily find your way on a Linux server and you’ve got some level of experience deploying scalable apps on Amazon Web Services and or other cloud services.
